Owner-run, one location, and educators who know every child by name.
Playbox opened in 2021 with a simple bet: children need room to move, and parents need a centre where a real person picks up the phone and the director knows their child by name. Today we're licensed for 81 children across infant, toddler and childcare programs. One location in Cloverdale, one team, and a director you'll meet in the hallway, not a head office.
Led by
Miss Shalu
Manager 路 Licensed ECE, 10+ years in early childhood education
Shalu was one of our very first hires, here since our earliest months, and she has shaped Playbox every step since. She built and leads our team, and she wrote the program your child learns from. What sets her apart is simple: she makes a point of knowing every single family and every child by name, something that quietly slips away at bigger centres. When you book a tour, Shalu is who you meet, and she is who answers when you call.
